Another important tip when you are in Malaysia is to be careful of pickpockets and snatch thieves. I think they exist everywhere in the world. But sad to say in Malaysia most of them are foreigners from neighbouring countries like Indonesia whom we’ve allowed to come in and work. But instead they turned to crime. They even resort to housebreaking and armed robbery where people have been killed. I myself have been a snatch thief victim a few times in spite of my precautions. Lately we’ve had some scammers from Africa who had study visas but who also turned to crime. With these people around the image of Malaysia has been tarnished.

We have 3 acres, and really enjoy the openness of our yard. I posted some pictures in my gallery under vacation home.

The whole area is lovely with lots of green spaces, walking trails, and hundreds of lakes. You get the best of both worlds--all the amenities of city living along with the peace and tranquility of the country. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

How many Scotsmen does it take to change a light bulb?
Och! It's no that dark!

Tarquitius picture
tarquitius wrote on Apr 29, 2009:Yes, it was about erato. :-) What kind of lyrics? Indeed you need to have some kind of commitment. Otherwise it would be even more mad to study one of these subjects.. LOL Here there is the same problem. Much more money would be needed, but all the different economic lobbies eat everything up. No money for the (fine) arts. Well, that´s to harsh. it´s not "no", but "not enough". But it won´t get better through lament... *g*

Tarquitius picture
tarquitius wrote on Apr 28, 2009:Oh, I forgot: Are you more into lyrics, into dance or into singing?

Tarquitius picture
tarquitius wrote on Apr 28, 2009:That´s basically true, but the quality of the eduaction in those fields is reducing all the time while all the academic disciplines which are not connected directly to making profit in any way suffer financial attrition. The large interest in the subject can hardly change that, unfortunately. Too much capitalism is not really helpful. ;-)
