Nope, there's only the Bangkok Int'l airport in Bangkok.

@windykaty: Actually You're right 'cause IN Bangkok there's only one airport, however there's a nearby airport as well in Don Muang (~13 miles away from the city center).

Airports serving the area are:
- Bangkok International Airport (BKK), 16 miles away from the center of Bangkok
- Don Mueang Internation Airport (DMK), 13 miles away
- Utapao City airport (UTP), 63 miles

If your departure is in the US, then Don Muang is not an option for you.

I hope this helps,
Cheers

Check offers found by other Travelgrove users here:

Flights going to the BKK airport seems to be the cheapest; also You if you could have someone driving you to LAX (and back) you could save another $200 bucks.

A good fare I would say is anything below $1,200; if you can manage yourself to book REALLY early you can stay under $1,100.
Also DO CHECK agents as well, sometime they are a lot cheaper; if you are searching on Travelgrove make sure you check ASAPtickets. I know it's much more hassle to call someone then to browse, but their prices are starting from $912, you just have to call them to clarify what are the blackout dates and what conditions apply...

Also check tickets in almost the same price category for flight miles and special awards - it happens when booking not the cheaper ticket is the good choise 'cause you can get a huge award / flight miles.

ONLY from a San Diego to Bangkok flight you can earn enough points / miles for an EU-domestic flight; so if you already have a mileage program and some flight miles book your ticket on the same airline company (or from an airline from the same alliance group). Not many people know but you can earn miles in your airline program by flying with another airline too!

I definitely agree, it's a long trip so you should get a lot of awards...
