  • The best waterparks in the world

Since it’s summer, it’s also swimming season, or splashing-around season if you don’t really care for deep water. And while beaches and lake shores are great for some fun in the water, nothing can beat the excitement that a good waterpark can offer.

Have your fill of waterslides and splash pads, wave pools and lazy rivers in one of the best waterparks in the world! Pack your bags for a summer holiday in a great destination!

    Sunway Lagoon, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

This incredible waterpark near Kuala Lumpur is the largest in Malaysia, and also the best. The park has three very different areas, all of which are worth seeing: World of Adventure, Waters of Africa and Wild Wild West, each with different rides and attractions. In addition to water activities, you can do things like play paintball and rock climbing, and there’s a great surf area with tons of actual sand.

    Chimelong Water Park, Guangzhou, China

Chimelong was opened in 2007, and it was one of the most anticipated waterparks in China, and it didn’t disappoint, that’s for sure. Not only is it the largest watepark in Asia, but it also one of the most innovative. There are numerous attractions in the park, like the Behemoth Bowl (you are spun around a huge bowl filled with water), and manyother exciting rides.

    Wet n’ Wild, Orlando, Florida

Orlando is a great tourist destination with many exciting theme parks for you to visit, but in summer, the Wet n’ Wild waterpark is a must see. The Florida sun will surely quickly chase you to the haven of splashing fun in the waterpark.

You can choose from among several different thrill rides, and lots of other rides that are great for kids or for adults who want to go easy on the adrenaline.

    Las Cascadas, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico

This is the largest waterpark in the Caribbean, so if you go there for a beach holiday, you definitely should pay a visit to Las Cascadas waterpark. Although the park was opened over 25 years ago, it has gone through several redesigns and looks better than ever. You’ll have the chance to choose from among rides like the aquatic tunnel (a tunnel slide in the dark), the maze, a insane ride that seems to never end, or the relaxing, tropical lazy river.

    Sandcastle Waterpark, Lancashire, UK

Sandcastle Waterpark had the first uphill rollercoaster ride in the world, and it has several huge waterslides, as well as a few smaller ones. There are also lots of areas for kids, as well as a lazy river and a wave machine.

One of the best attractions in the park is the Caribbean Storm Treehouse, with water jets, cannons and a giant tipping coconut cascade.
