    Watch a cricket match

If you’re in Bangalore in March through May, you should definitely buy a ticket (but make sure you buy a ticket in advance).

    If you want to get out of the city for a while, head to the Nandi Hills, a spell biding place that can be visited any time of the year, even in the rainy season. You can reach the top of the hill by bike, car or bus, and wander around the vineyards, visit caves and monuments.

    Another good place for hiking near Bangalore is Bilikal Rangaswamy Betta, where you can see a stunning temple built under a rock.

    Watch a play at the Ranga Shankara

    Ranga Shankara is the most famous theater in Bangalore, opened 2004, which aims to promote theater in a variety of languages for very affordable ticket prices. The theater shows at least six plays a day, six days a week, so whenever you travel to Bangalore you have the chance to watch performances and groups from India and abroad. Many plays are performed by traveling group that each show different perspectives.

    Bangalore has a number of spas that combine the best of Western and Eastern spas. You can find spas offering authentic Ayurvedic massages, spas that use only eco-friendly products, Thai massages and scrubs, etc. After a hot and sweaty day spend sightseeing around Bangalore, there’s nothing more relaxing and cleansing than a spa treatment.

    Visit the flea market

    There are lots of upscale shops in Bangalore, but for some good old fashioned bargain hunting head to the flea market, where you can find dozens and dozens of stall selling everything from cheap jeans to trinkets, second hand computers, and wares from all across India. The market takes place every Sunday on Sultanpet, Cottonpet, and Chickpet  Street.
