Louisville History
The history of Louisville could be traced back over a hundred years, when in the year 1780, the Act of Legislature, Virginia established its existence. The process saw the signing of the charter on May 1st, by the then Governor Thomas Jefferson. Following this in 1781 came up the Fort Nelson, to counter the British threats.
