Travelling by Taxi’s in Singapore is one of the fastest and safest way to get around to the various destinations all over Singapore. Unlike some countries where passengers have to negotiate with taxi drivers the amount to they need to pay before taking a taxi, in Singapore taxi’s strictly operate on the meter basis. Thus there is no standard fixed amount that you need to pay to any destination. Every amount is shown on the meter that will be in front near the driver which is very visible to the passengers.
A tip here in travelling by taxi is, you are always welcomed to propose to the driver a faster route if you know of one. However the taxi drivers in Singapore are very professional and will take you to a location the fastest way possible. But if you want the driver to go by a different way which you feel is faster, the driver would certainly do so. So feel at ease when you travel by taxis in Singapore.

Price:
The starting price on the meter is $2.80

Opening Hours:
Taxis can be found anytime on the roads
