Singapore Sights and Landmarks Guide, Singapore

Singapore is a beautiful place offering a paradise view to its visitors. At first sight, you will be astonished by the profound looks of the cosmopolitan city, but when you take a closer look, you will find that the people of Singapore have their roots in the ancient traditions.  Singapore sights are an excellent blend of ancient and contemporary culture that makes them unique in their own way.

Getting around Singapore is easy with excellent travel facilities in the city. One of the most popular sights are the along the Singapore river that can be admired taking a boat ride in a bumboat. You can admire the cosmopolitan look of the city with a glimpse of the ancient buildings speaking of the past.

Another popular place to visit is the Singapore Zoo also called the Singapore Zoological Gardens which breeds the largest number of orangutans in the world. There you can enjoy the world’s first as well as best night safari in Singapore. The stunning wild life comes alive as the dusk shows its effect.

You can experience the feel of being in China when you are in Singapore by visiting China town. Everything from Chinese foods to Chinese shopping is available in this place. The place speaks about the Chinese who came to Singapore and settled here. It has a sort of museum that lets you see the old quarters, houses and antiques. If you want to experience India, do make a visit to Little India. However, if you plan to visit the place on Sundays then be prepared to come across huge mobs at the place.

The beautiful Singapore’s Chinese gardens house great bonsai varieties spread in a Chinese fashion. The mosque named Masjid Sultan has excellent architecture and don't miss to take a tour inside to appreciate the fabulous piece of architectural beauty. Then there is the Sentosa Island very close to the city. It has everything from butterfly gardens, Dolphin lagoons to colorful fountains to mesmerize you. Then there are entertainment arenas and amusement parks at the place to keep you busy all day.

If you love the excitement of water, Singapore offers an array of water parks. One of the most popular is the “Wild Wild Wet”, which has opened recently in the year 2003 but has gained extreme popularity among the locals as well as tourists. Don’t miss visiting the nearby Escape Theme park for a fun filled day out.
