Here, you can find such nightspots like clubs, bars, eateries, and even cinemas that could answer anyone’s requirement when it comes to entertainment.

Hanging Out in Anchorage’s Night Spots

Gay and straight people can have the best night of their lives in Anchorage. One of the nightspots that would gladly welcome both types of people is Mad Myra. Although this nightclub is known for catering the gay crowd, it still welcomes straight guys and gals. It offers themed nights, pop music from the 70s and the 80s, and special events staged regularly.

If you want to go to a place where you will be spoiled rotten when it comes to choices, go to the Bear Tooth Theater Pub. A combined pub, eatery, and movie theater all in one, here you can have your southwestern-style meal fronting the movie screen and wash it down with Moose’s Tooth beer. There are areas designated in the movie theatre for all ages, so it can welcome children and adults as well.

For a taste of the blues, the Blues Central is the place for you. Situated right inside the Chef’s Inn, this is a smoky bar that is a known favorite in the city when it comes to blues music and cold beer. This 100-seat bar is usually crowded during the weekends when performances from local and out-of-town talents are staged. A popular blues festival is held here every second weekend of June.

When it is elegance that you want for your evening out, then you can head in to the Club Paris. This bar is where you can find patrons sipping delicately on martinis or wines while swing and lazy jazz music is played on the jukebox. A Parisian ambiance is provided by the murals and French streetlamps.

Saloons Are the Way to Go in Anchorage

Saloons are also among the most famous nightspots where you can have a taste of in Anchorage. One of these is the Long Branch Saloon, which exemplifies a dive bar from the West with its smoky and dark atmosphere. Here, you can enjoy a laid-back ambiance while hitting on their appetizers like the fried zucchini with its delicious sauce and cold beer. Entertainment here can be experienced through rodeo shows on television and the pool tables.

If you want to be among the beautiful people of the city, then Simon and Seafort’s Saloon and Grill is where you want to be. With a scenic view of the Cook Inlet, this saloon and grill offers single-malt scotch and imported beer as well as succulent prime ribs and the freshest catch when it comes to seafood.
