by The starting and central point of our vacation was Nafplion. Our trips to Argos and Mykene were only daytrips, we always came back. We usually want to daytrips with a car or a motorbike we rented, it was easy to get anywhere that way.
Nafplion is a little busy, but you can always find some nice, narrow streets that are completely 'touristless'. You can take walks to the port and take a boat tour near the coast, it's 4 Euros per person and the view is beautiful.
There is also a castle that you can visit, it's very well maintained. You can get there climbing a lot of stairs, so you will need good shoes and light clothes!
