This is basically a pier that was turned into a little theme park. The nice thing about it is that it's right by the beach, you can easily walk there from Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade and you'll find it very relaxing. There are some fun people around and at the end of the pier there is a nice little restaurant where you can grab something to eat after a long day of shopping.

Address:
Corner of Colorado Street and Ocean Avenue

Price:
free to visit, the actual ride on Ferris Wheel cos

Opening Hours:
any time, but you should go during the day.

How to get there:
Drive down the 10East and exit 4th Street. You should park somewhere by Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade and then walk down to the pier.

There are some great Margaritas to drink at the pier and they have some great Nachos to go with it. The prices are not too cheap, but the view is amazing. Be sure not to go when it is too windy.Reply

There is a bicycle and inline skating rental shop just South of the Pier, and when you have some time, you should definitely go and enjoy the outdoors while there. The tracks are nice and the weather is of course .. well .. Southern Californian style.Reply
