I recommend to sit by the window, the view to Chestnut street is very nice.
California Wine Merchant is not a very special place, but it is cozy and pleasant for a drink with your friends.

You will fine good wine and great service if you happen to be around and want some refresher.

The best thing is that you can sit on the terrace and enjoy both the sun and one of the best places for a breakfast.

They have good coffee and delicious cakes. You can stay on the sun and have your breakfast and also have a break from your work there.

It offers free Wifi, so you can get your laptop and even work from there is you are tired of the office atmosphere.

We made a reservation to a restaurant which serves South Indian food. I always wanted to try that out. It was a good idea to book a table in advance, because it was pretty crowded, being weekend and all. We got a table upstairs that overlooked the whole restaurant. It was great.

After a dish of prawn curry we tried out the house's specialty from which the restaurant got his name too, the Dosas. This is a type of vegetarian pancake made from black lentil and rice. It was really tasty especially with the coconut chutney ( kind of semi-solid paste) they served it with. We had a great time, the waiter was really friendly so we were quite contented.

The most delicious cake I've ever tasted was here in San Francisco in a little pastry shop on Market Street: DeLessio. At first I didn't even find the bakery, it so hidden, but already as I stepped in I was overwhelmed with the sweet, fresh smell of pastry, cake and sweets.

I tried out a fruit cake, I was in a 'sweet' mood and it was like floating in Heaven, the whole thing melted in my mouth like butter. And all their products are organic so you can eat as much as you want because they are not filled with colorants or preservatives. Oh and the manager is just great. You can see he is passionate about his work and to make customers feel great. It was Cake-Heaven on Earth. :)

Can you imagine 1400 kinds of wine in one place? I couldn't, but there it is. Very nice place indeed, not only because of its wide collection of the best wines.

The decoration and furniture is also very stylish and elegant, you will be amazed just like I was.

There are also live jazz concerts almost every night, so it is necessary to make a reservation if you want to have dinner. Normally the place is full, fact which I can perfectly understand.
