The most imposing and rich building we saw in San Antonio was the Steves Homestead, built in the late 19th century. Home of a wealthy tradesman, Edward Steves, the house and the whole property was later donated to the San Antonio Conservation Society. Now it is open to the public, and many who would like to see how the rich people lived in those areas a hundred years ago, will be able have a glimpse while exploring the grounds and the houses in the property.

We loved the Victorian-style architecture of the mansion and were overwhelmed by its simple but still rich design. I small insight into the lives of the people in San Antonio is always interesting to have.
