If you don't want or you don't have so much money to spend while visiting London, you should check out British Museum. Except exhibitions that are charged, the visit to the museum is free. The museum is opened daily, between 10 AM and 5:30 PM. The museum is divided into departments, from different regions. While all of them are worthy of visiting, the Egyptian department is the most interesting of all, British Museum having the second most comprehensive collection of Egyptian antiquities. But this is only my opinion.
