The Magnificent Miles on Michigan Avenue is a dream come true for shopping addicts. Literally hundreds of shops, restaurants and hotels litter the street, with a few of Chicago's famous landmarks thrown in. The shops and restaurants are generally upscale, catering to the rich or spendthrift(and tourists, that is), but you can find moer affordable places as well. In addition to brand shops and department stores, you can also find some very classy restaurants on the Magnificent Mile. Also, it has been officially named one of the best 10 shopping avenues in the world (according to National Geographic)

401 N. Michigan Ave.

Not for bargain-shopping budgets, unfortunately

Chicago History

The year 1871 was a very dry hot summer for Chicago.  It was a Sunday evening dated October 8, 1871 when a fire broke out at around 9:00 PM.  It was a barn behind the home of then couples Patrick and Catherine O’Leary.  The fire is actually associated with O’Leary’s cow.  The Great Chicago Fire was considered one of the most tragic points in the history of Chicago.  The fact that [...]
