Galati, Nightlife – Going Out

Galati is one of the biggest cities in Romania and although it is mainly considered an industrial town, there are many places that are worth visiting and many people that you should meet. In Galati fun usually starts after 8 o’clock, when people come back from work, take a shower and prepare for the big party. You cannot go dancing or drinking without a meal you can have in professional restaurants in town.

Keep in mind that there are two centers in Galati: the historical and the modern one. The Chinese Restaurant is located in the heart of the modern center, right on the main street. Here you can enjoy delicious food prepared by Chinese cooks and make wonderful conversation in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. This experience might cost you more than in other places in Galati, but if you take into consideration how much you pay in a Chinese restaurant in your own country, then you will realize that it is worth trying.

Moving from the modern center to the historical part of the city, you will come across two popular cafés where locals like to spend their time: Café Journal, Corso and Zeba. The menu here is quite varied, from pizza and pasta, to salads and traditional food and the prices are quite low. These places are only 10 minutes away from the train station, so if you feel tired after a long journey through Romania, just drop by and enjoy a Nescafe with cream.

Galati, Nightlife - Clubs and Discos

Galati Nightlife is for sure a crazy one. The party starts only after midnight when the clubs get crowded. The clubs here are quite different and play a varied type of music, so no matter your preferences, you will most certainly find a place that suits you. If you are more into stylish and expensive clubs, then you can go to Divino, the biggest club in Romania. It is situated at the periphery of Galati and is usually frequented by very rich people. The DJs usually play house music and sometimes important VIPs perform here.

Another great place that is popular for the music (from the 80’s till nowadays) it plays is Freddy’s. The entrance is free for girls and quite cheap for boys. The place might seem pretty small, but fun is guaranteed.
