International flights include destinations such as Dublin, London, Nottingham and Shannon. The airport is also served by domestic flights. From the airport, passengers can go to the city center by bus or taxi.
Another way to reach Lodz is using the railways. There are three kinds of trains that serve the city and they are intercity trains, eurocity trains and express trains. Lodz has two train stations - one is the Lodz Fabryczna which is used by domestic trains and the other is the Lodz Kaliska which is intended for transit trains. The latter also links the city to Germany and the Czech Republic.
Different buses also serve the city. Polski Express has daily trips to the city from Warsaw, Gdansk and Torun. Another bus line is the ELA which travels during weekdays from the airport and city center of Warsaw. Eurolines is a bus line which has trips from other European countries and one of the most frequent locations is Berlin. People who are driving their own vehicle can take the motorways which connect Lodz to other parts of Poland such as Gdansk, Torun and Katowice, plus to the cities in other countries like Berlin, London, and Amsterdam.
Different means of transportation can be used when travelling around the city. Travelers can ride a cab, a bus or a tram when going to places apart from the city center. Those who are exploring the city center can simply walk, ride a bicycle or be carried in a rickshaw/pedicab.

People who plan to have a trip in Lodz should consider the weather condition of the city. Summer has the warmest temperature in the city but it also has most rainfalls. At the start of autumn, nights begin to become cool. During winter, the temperature gets bitterly cold. The warmest month is August while the coolest is January.

Lodz is regarded as a city of festival as it hosts a lot of annual events. One of the major events in the city is The Festival of Dialogue of Four Cultures taking place every September.
