The resort lies in the Pieria region, north of Mount Olimp, 8 km from Katerini town and 75 km from Salonic. There are many resorts in the Pieria region called Paralia which actually means beach in Greek, but Paralia Katerini is quite special being considered the pearl of the northern region.
