Corpus Christi, TX US - Overview
Corpus Christi is the largest coastal- city of the southern Texas region, United States. The name, “Corpus Christi” is Latin word that means the “Body of Christ”. It is the seat for Nueces County and extends till Kleberg, San Patricio and Aransas counties. Corpus Christi is nicknamed as The Sparkling City by the sea, specifically in literature in order to promote the tourism of this land. This city basically offers a home to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi along with being served by Corpus Christi International Airport.

Among the very popular tourist attractions of the place are the Miradors which are small and gazebo like structures that are found along the bay front of Corpus Christi. They are great places for relaxing and soothing the stressed senses. Then the Texas State Aquarium is another place to be at as it some of the most amazing sea water creatures and exhibits. Along with this, South Texas Art Museum, Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, K Space Contemporary Gallery, Art Center of Corpus Christi, Mirador de la Flor and USS Lexington where WWII aircraft carrier, naval life, aircraft complement and ship can be seen are other places to visit in Corpus Christi. The Island Art Emporium situated on the North Padre Island is also known far and wide for the superb quality local art it offers to the residents as well as the visitors. Sailboat races are organized here every week that are a very spectacular event ad draw large crowds. The Corpus Christi Hooks AA Level football minor league is another major attraction for all the football lovers. At the Bird Island Basin people enjoy a lot of wind surfing and bird watching is also a great activity here. Magee beach also draws a lot of people owing to its splendid beauty.

There are a lot of malls where shopping can be done in Corpus Christi and lots of other entertainment activities. There are many good restaurants here that offer quality service and amazing cuisine. Also, there are a number of pubs, lounges, bars and clubs as well that make people enjoy their nights to the maximum.
