Las Vegas Sights and Landmarks Guide, Nevada

Although Las Vegas is most popularly known for its nightlife, there are still other things to see and do while you visit this city. A very popular sight to visit is the Fountains of the Bellagio, which perform a wonderful display every fifteen minutes during the evenings with music in the background. It also does performances during the afternoons on Saturdays and Sundays each hour. Inside the Bellagio Casino, you will find a huge flower garden, where the displays are changed each month or two.  This casino also offers an art gallery, but there is a fee that they charge.  The Bellagio is also the home of one of the best buffets you can find on The Strip.

The Flamingo Garden is a great place to visit that offers a garden with exotic birds, including flamingos, as well as turtles and koi.  The MGM Grand Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand offers a lion habitat that you can view for free during the day.  They also have a Garden Café that is worth visiting.  Another spot to see is the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, which is a hotel with the highlight of walking through a tunnel that has fish, sea turtles, and sharks swimming around you on every side.  It costs $16 a person for the viewing.

The Mirage is a great casino to see.  Nearly every hour during the evenings, the volcano that is located in the front will erupt with a great light show.  Plus, they have a white tiger enclosure inside that is free for viewing, a dolphin habitat you can view for a fee, and a very impressive aquarium.  The Golden Nugget is something that everyone should see, which is a viewing of the biggest gold nugget in the world that is located in the back of the Golden Nugget Casino.  They have also opened a shark tank for viewing.

Las Vegas also has Cirque du Soleil Shows, which are some of the hottest things to do.  Right now, the city hosts five different shows, and another show is planned for the City Center, which will be centered on Elvis.  You have to call or reserve your tickets online in advance in order to get the best seats for the shows.  Mystére is a classic, which is performed at Treasure Island, that is full of impressive costumes, humor, and amazing feats.  It is acceptable for the family, but not for anyone under the age of eight.  Love is a recent addition to the shows at The Mirage, which features a fresh mix of the classic tunes from the Beatles and uses dance.

Las Vegas is in the western region of the United States and it is situated in the state of Nevada. The Spanish word 'Las Vegas' means 'The Meadows' in English and was at first found in the 1829 by the group of explorers led by Antonio Armijo, the Mexican merchant looking for a way to Los Angeles....

Las Vegas, it is a town that really never sleeps. No doubt, there are enjoyable things to be done in the daytime, but in the evening, things are reversed. Las Vegas is always notorious for starting new disco bars and celebration centers. As the rivalry is very rigid, you and I win. No matter what...

One of my favorite places to see while in Las Vegas is the Bellagio Fountains in front of the well known Hotel. It's truly awesome, and maybe the best show in Vegas. There is a large lake in front of the Casino and every 30min or so, the...

A somewhat different type of sightseeing experience is the Stratosphere roller coaster. You are up around 300 meters in the air going around the building at light speed. Certainly a fun experience. Otherwise, just walk around. Every...
