The capital city of Pyongyang is famous amongst tourists and it is also the first city visited by almost every tourist, as it is the capital of North Korea. All international flights land in the city of Pyongyang.

The king built a self tribute in his memory and that is the first monument you will notice instead of the statue. All in all, the entire place is worth a visit due to its historical nature.

Another monument, which was built in the memory of Kim II Sung, is the huge Juche Tower. It is 170 meters high monument and is famous amongst the tourists as one can travel to the top of the monument to enjoy an awesome view of the city from the top.

Some other places that must be visited whenever you hit the city of Pyongyang are Children’s Palace, USS Pueblo, stamp shop, Korean War Museum, and the famous Arch of Triumph.
