San Diego is pretty, but isn't very cheap. Here are a few things that might help saving money.

You should buy some food in supermarkets and then pack your own food for the day so you will not have to buy food from fast foods and restaurants all the time.

There are possibilities to buy discount tickets in pockets for more attractions. There is for instance a cheaper ticket for the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. Another one is good for the zoo, the Wild Animal Park and the Sea World. The offers may change, but you can always fing packets on the websites of the institutions.

You should also avoid hotels in the heart of the city. Better chose one somewhere near the city, you will surely save a fortune.
