When you go from Brussels with the TGV towards Lille or London, it's recommended to be at the train station at least 30 minutes before the scheduled leaving time. This is because the train goes to Great Britain and the security measures are similar to those at an airport. That means that you will be scanned, as well as your bags and also your passport will be checked numerous time by the police there. If there are a lot of passengers, the waiting time will be quite big.
