Dallas Sights and Landmarks Guide, Texas

Coupled with a rich history, Dallas also gives a lot of alternatives for sightseeing purposes.  These places evolved through time together with the people and events that the city embraced from its history.  From natural attractions to educational destinations, your trip to the place will not be complete unless you take time out to savor the fun.

Cultural Attractions

If you are fond of plays and other theatrical presentations, the following theatres and auditoriums in Dallas are just a few of the many options you have:

Music Hall at Fair Park.  This place embraces the typical Dallas offerings like Summer Musicals, Opera, and Forth Worth Ballet.  Located at 909 First Avenue, it will show you the cultural and artistic aspects of the place.

Majestic Theatre Dallas.  Situated at 1925 Elm Street, this theatre opened in 1921.  To this day, the structure is used for various activities such as cultural dances and music.

Educational Attractions

If you are taking your kids along with you, you can educate them choosing from a large of number of choices.  Educational tours are pleasurable with the following Dallas sights:

Central Library Dallas.  Found at 1515 Young Street, this library does not merely display books, it also caters to free exhibits.  This is the largest library in the city with eight floors of interesting and informative documents.

Science Place and TI Founders IMAX Theater. This is actually found within Dallas’s famous Fair Park.  Both you and your kids will definitely be enticed with the variety of hands-on science projects.  It also features 200 exhibits, with the planetarium and the IMAX Theater as main attractions.

The Dallas World Aquarium and Zoological Garden.  While zoos are typically made for animal habitats, this place shows more.  Plants and fish form part of this prestigious place seen at 1801 N. Griffin Street.

Natural Attractions

Nature’s primary teasers are parks.  Other remarkable spots can be seen in the bodies of water as well.  Dallas gives you the following choices:

Trinity River.  This famous river can be tracked from John Bryan’s settlement in the city.  It actually flows through the entire Texas state with its 710-mile length.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.  Located at 8617 Garland Road, this garden is famous for its 60-acre size.  It houses not just trees, flowers and other plants but fountains, mansions and sculptures as well.

Fair Park of Dallas.  This is an entertainment and cultural place rolled into one.  Found at 1300 Robert B. Cullum Boulevard, other tourist destinations could be seen in this famous park like the Dallas Zoo, the Texas Vietnam Memorial, the Dallas Aquarium and the Cotton Bowl Stadium.

You may also want to go to amusement and theme parks, fairgrounds, markets and movie theaters in Dallas.  If you are a sport buff, your options range from arenas and stadiums in the locale.  The numerous sights and attractions go to show that you will surely get your money’s worth while you travel around the area.
