To produce T-Rails, the Lackawanna Steel Company was founded in 1840. In 1851, ‘The Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad’ was established. To add to the growth, the Delaware and Hudson was founded in 1863. In 1886, the first trolley system of the country was established. One such building is the historic Sikman House; built in 1840 following Greek revival architectural style, the building now houses Providence Branch Library. The Catlin House, a 16-room house built in 1912, is another good example of such a structure. Originally belonging to George H.
