The sights and attractions in Buffalo, New York, are so abundant that you won’t experience a dull moment when you come here for your vacation. Buffalo’s Natural Sights

The Niagara Falls is among the main reasons why tourist crowd Buffalo. Known to be one of the majestic sights in the world, the falls are the must-see sight in the city and  they are comprised of the American Falls and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. There are walkways here that permit visitors to look at the falls up close. You can also take part in the “Maid of the Mist” boat tour that will take you to both falls’ feet.

Featuring several levels of large rocks and a plenty of quartz, the Rock City is also a great natural treasure in Buffalo. Although originally used as a protective shield by the Native Americans, this site provides clambering and walking opportunities to outdoor lovers. The many and different wildflower species in the Rock City are also a must-see for everyone.

The Old Houses in Buffalo

Architect Frank Lloyd Wright is one of the most celebrated geniuses in Buffalo when it comes to producing the best old houses. One of these is the Graycliff, which is perched on a cliff that overlooks Lake Erie. Made for Darwin D. Martin, this summer house has two levels and boasts of airy spaces and huge windows. It is nestled at the center of three hectares of beautifully landscaped premises.

Another masterpiece of Wright is the Darwin D. Martin House. An older structure than the Graycliff, having been constructed during the beginning of the 1900s, this house features a Prairie-style of architecture. It is known for its amazing horizontal profile and has tours for the whole day every day.

Beauty in Buffalo’s Zoos

The natural bounties and the houses of Buffalo are not the only ones known for their beauty. The city also offers attractiveness even in its zoos and this can be found in the Buffalo Zoological Gardens. Dating way back to the year 1875, this zoo is among the oldest and most loved on the American continent. Featuring a variety of over 1,000 animal species in their natural habitats, the zoo also boasts of train rides, landscaped gardens, as well as feeding demonstrations to visitors. Covering over eight hectares of land area, the zoological gardens can be found in Delaware Park in the city.
