Albany, NY US - Nightlife: Meant for Rockers!

Formal or casual, country inn or suburb, Albany always produces the right dish experience. The combination includes Indonesian spices, French delicacies, Oriental surprise and Italian aroma. In summers or in spring, Albany grooves with fireworks, outdoor concerts and more.

The city always stays up late. It is a place of cool sounds and hot spots. Pubs, award winning restaurants, comedians, global musicians and others attract the crowd in Albany’s finest theatres. Enjoying DJ and dancing at a nightclub are a must in this wonderful city.

Dublin Underground

Dublin underground is a traditional Irish pub with both outdoor and indoor sitting facilities. There is stonework along the sides and walls are furnished with mahogany wood. At the back, there is the raised ceiling and at the front there is the dance floor. A waterfall is there, which features 20 beers put on the tap. The bar is famous for its egg, bacon and cheese sandwich.

The Egg

The Egg is on the Empire state plaza, which is basically a half egg on the plaza. It has two theatres inside it that are as beautiful as the exterior. The theatre runs the most famous shows and dramas. They are also the host to a varied range of entertainment. The options range from classical music and Mark Morris’ modern dance to theatre, comedy, rock guitar riffs and international performances.

Palace Performing Arts Center

The Palace Performing Arts Center is a gorgeous 1931 movie theatre, which hosts very high level talent like pop concerts of Sum41 and Billy Joel, comedy of Jerry Seinfeld, Symphony Orchestra and Berkshire Ballet. It also manages children’s theatre performances.

Other notable places

Other than organizing sporting events, the Pepsi Arena also takes into account country musical and rock concerts. The Capital Repertory Theatre has earned a name for featuring off-Broadway and Broadway touring musicals and dramas. The Troy Savings Bank Music, situated outside the city is a beautiful concert hall. It hosts some of the city’s best chamber music and jazz concerts. Something interesting is always scheduled here. The Heritage of this hall includes performances by some of the most distinguished personalities of the musical world like Ella Fitzgerald. In North Albany, Noche is a pub worth visiting. It is a cool Spanish type bar with an industrial lounge which also houses a firehouse. The Albany pump station is a brewpub with a very nice pump station. To add to the list, there is Bar and Grill, Waterworks pub, Hoyt’s and Spectrum 7.
