Albany History

AlbanyIn 1609, Henry Hudson came up La Grande Riviera to look for trade. Later, the river was renamed as Hudson. In 1624, a colony was setup by the French Walloons which was known as Fort Orange. A trading post was established in 1629 by the Dutch West India Company. In 1652, Fort Orange became the village of Beverwyck by a declaration made by the governor of the New Netherlands. Hudson River Way was opened in 2002. It is a pedestrian bridge, which connects Corning Preserve Park to Downtown. On the lamppost are paintings, which depict the heritage and history of the city. Two murals also stand on the staircase landings. read more

Dublin underground is a traditional Irish pub with both outdoor and indoor sitting facilities. There is stonework along the sides and walls are furnished with mahogany wood. At the back, there is the raised ceiling and at the front there is the dance floor. A waterfall is there, which features 20 beers put on the tap.
