San José is also a home to numerous universities and colleges. The most popular and largest is the San Jose State University that was founded by the well-known California Legislature in the year 1862 and is the main campus of California State University system. Ideally situated in the downtown city since the year 1870, the university is highly admired for its excellent education and other facilities. Other famous and renowned colleges and universities in the city include the National Hispanic University, Lincoln Law School of San Jose, Evergreen Valley College, Palmer College of Chiropractic, San Jose City College and Golden Gate University.
Apart from the great education facilities and sights offered by the city, the nightlife of San José is another striking quality that this beautiful city boasts offers to its visitors.
