Casa do Infante. This house is said to be the place where Henry the Navigator was born in 1394 and later became Porto’s first traditional house where historical collections of documents are placed. After the invasion of the Spanish troops, Napoleon's French troops conquered the city. This particular event took place in 1809. Almost 6000 people crossed the Douro River through a floating bridge.
