Szczecin is the seventh largest city in Poland and is the capital of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. People can use different kinds of transportation when going into Szczecin. Approximately 50km away from the city center is the Szczecin-Goleniow Airport. One major railway is the Polish State Railways which links Szczecin to other main cities in the country. It has daily trips to Warsaw, Poznan, Kolobrzeg, and Gdansk. The other railway is the German Railway that connects Szczecin to cities like Amsterdam and Berlin, and cities in Western Pomerania.

Buses can also take travelers into Szczecin. Some of the bus lines that serve the city are Evatrans, Polski Express and Interglobus. These buses have trips to and from different cities in Poland as well as cities in Germany such as Berlin.
