Norway, for centuries being known as the “land of the Midnight Sun”, is a kingdom located in the west of the Scandinavian Peninsula with Oslo as its capital city. Oslo is not only its capital but also the largest city in the kingdom of Norway. This beautiful and historic city of Oslo is also a county as well as a municipality being the third largest city in Scandinavia after Stockholm and Copenhagen. The seaport has been built upon the River Aker on the top of Oslo Fjord that is open during the winters because of the ice breakers.
