Karlovac Nightlife is nevertheless a touristic attraction itself, thanks to some excellent opportunities of spending late evenings at restaurants or late bars or on hotel terraces.

The banks of the Korana River attracts people who want to swim, jog, walk or enjoy the beauties of nature at all hours including the beautiful warm summer evenings and nights when particularly lovers go there to feel the romance in the air.

Karlovac Nightlife – Restaurants

There are rustic restaurants situated on crowdless streets and elegant ones located in hotels, such is the Dobra Restaurant in the Hotel Korana. On late evenings, diners can watch the Korana River, the lights, the moon on the clear sky or people who happen to walk or jog at that time of the day while enjoying the new Croatian cuisine on the beautiful terrace of the restaurant.

As it is in any elegant, sophisticated, with top service restaurant, at Dobra’s there is no lack of imagination when preparing the food. This is why the chef always comes up with new culinary ideas that seem to be appreciated by both locals and tourists. Among the best courses one should try: the wild quail, the grilled fresh trout with herbs or the grilled octopus with fresh pineapple.

The restaurant Zganjer welcomes its clients with creative regional cuisine that includes specialties like: grilled lamb or pig, bread baked in brick stove, turkey baked with noodles, local pastries and Vrbnicka Zlahtina wine that should be tasted to be definitely remembered in time.

The famous Kristal restaurant, located in the Bakin Business Centre is the ideal place for events such as weddings or meetings offering fish and meat specialties, ice-cream, cakes and other delicacies.

Karlovac Nightlife – Cafes, Pubs and Clubs

Pupa’s Pub is a local pub built in the memory of the well-known author, Ernest Hemingway and it has a spacious, nicely decorated wooden interior that makes you never cease coming here. During the nights, there is a great atmosphere that animates the bar keeping it alive in the mean time.

At Drmes Klub you can dance on rock music while at the River Pub mainly young people date and entertain themselves with live performances of famous Croatian bands.

There are plenty of cafes in Karlovac, the best known being: Caffe Express Corso, a rather small stylish café mostly frequented by the young people.

The Cohiba Café that got its name after a Cuban brand of cigars is also a small but very popular café having a terrace facing the city’s promenade. It is the best place in town where one can both drink coffee, cocktails, great hot chocolate and enjoy good music.

Gradska Straza is a café placed in an old house with a simple wooden interior and a relaxed atmosphere mainly preferred by high school students.

Situated inside the Zorin Dom Theatre, Kazalisma Kavana cafe with a retro-secession interior style offers its clients a beautiful view of the nearby park.

Inside the Korana Hotel there is the Slap Café that has a unique location on the banks of the river Korana. Thus, people coming here enjoy a good café and a beautiful view of the river and the bridge.

Coffee and a variety of tasty pastries can be enjoyed at the Mozart, in the downtown square.

Slatki Centar is a ‘sweet centre’ serving the best pancakes and cakes in town. Fast food is not neglected here as you can have it at McDonald’s or at the Scooby Doo.

Being located right in the centre of the town, Tempo serves great coffee and cheap brunch and lunch.

At Tiffany’s you can find the best hot sandwiches in town. After all, Karlovac Nightlife has many things to offer; you should only go there and make your choice.
