Wenzhou Nightlife, China

Wenzhou, China is famous for a vibrant nightlife with several bars in varied styles offering variety to the discerning visitors. The bar districts in Wenzhou are Wang Jiang Road and Xialupu Residential Community and are thus the chief venues of nightlife entertainment. The night trip to the Oujiang River through the cruise from An Lan Wharf to the Wenzhou Bridge by ‘Marine Palace’ is an exhilarating experience. An Lan Wharf provides dance halls, nighttime performances, and other types of night entertainments.

Wenzhou Lighting Projects

The city administrators had developed 2 attractions to enhance the nightlife activities in Wenzhou. The first is Wangjiang Lu Light Decoration Project. The authorities and the residents of Wang Jiang Road had combined to arrange lamps on the roofs and the sides of the buildings and mansions in the road. These lamps are lit up after sunset every day. The multicolored lights give a magical look to the road and a mystical appearance to the entire area. Yet another attraction is the Wangjiang Lu Light Decoration Project. There are 2 pagodas in Jiangxinyu Island, which are lit up in such a manner that the lights dance to tunes of enchanting music. These dancing lights highlight the rare legends of the city.

Wenzhou Bars

Blue Shell Expat Bar in Xialupu Residential Community, Bourbon Street Bar in Middle Ren Min Road, and Moulin Rouge Bar in Lucheng District are some of the well known bars in Wenzhou. Pu Fa Amusement Corporation in East Ren Min Road is conducting an amusement center with Karaoke TV and dancing. Lai Fu Men Amusement City in Xin He Street is also of the same type with facilities for singing and dancing. Wu Ma Nightclub in Lucheng District has got a dancing hall, bars, beauty salons, and gyms. The bars of Lunar, Go-Go, Yinzuo Café, Bund No. 18, and Brass Monkey are the other bars in Jiangbin Road, while the bars in Xialupu are smaller but unique. They are Lavender, One Plus Six, and Idiot Wharf. Blueshell in the same area is considered the first bar by a foreigner in Wenzhou city. The owner of this tiny but nice bar is a Dutch person. Champs Elysees Café and Bar in Wuma is also a place that is worth visiting. La Luna Bar & Grill is a pub and bar owned by a Mexican, who likes to cover the bar walls with the photos of the patrons from various countries who had visited the bar over the years. Millers Bar is another nice place to enjoy the nightlife of Wenzhou, in an atmosphere of serene live music and invigorating drinks.

Wenzhou Fitness Clubs

Fitness clubs like the East Fitness Club and Bysun Fitness Club in the Xialupu Residential Community are the rage of local residents, who throng these and other fitness centers after dark, before relaxing with a drink or dancing to the lilting Chinese music. Most of the fitness clubs provide massages to help people unwind. The nightlife in Wenzhou is definitely not like the ones you might encounter in the American and European continents. The nighttime entertainment is quiet subdued here, meant as a diversion for rest and relaxation after a hard day’s work.
