1. Christ Church
This is one of the oldest churches of North India and one of the top places to visit in Shimla. Constructed in 1857 by the British, it was aimed at serving the larger Anglican British community of the region. It is built in the Neo-Gothic style of architecture. Serving as one of the most celebrated landmarks of Shimla, Christ Church is a must visit site.
2. Annandale
Annadale is a beautiful tourist spot in Shimla. Located around 4 kms from the Ridge, the terrain once served as the playground for the British. They loved to play cricket, racing, and polo here. Presently, the racecourse has been converted into a mini golf course and used as a heli-pad. It also promises immensely beautiful sceneries of meadows.
3. Summer Hill
The place is also referred to as the Potter’s Hill, potters gathered clay here to make pots. Summer Hill is located at a height of 1283 meters above sea level. It ensures spectacular views of the entire valley and the greenery. The place is frequented by tourists. 4. The Scandal Point, Ridge

5. Kufri
Also known as the winter sports capital, Kufri is situated at 2622 meters above sea level. Blanketed with white snow, the place transforms into a haven for exciting winter such as ice skating and sports skiing.
6. Viceregal Lodge
It served as the official residence of the British Viceroy of India during the British rule. Also referred to as Rashtrapati Niwas, the Viceregal Lodge is situated on the Observatory Hills of Shimla. The construction of this majestic building started in 1880 and completed within eight years. Presently, the place has now been converted into the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. Situated at a walking distance Mall Road, the lodge is well-maintained and includes lawns and a small cafeteria.
7. Naldehra and Shaily Peak
Your Shimla tour is incomplete without a visit to exquisite Naldehra. The place is famous for offering the most picturesque sunrise and sunset views. It looks splendid wit dense deodar trees and flora and fauna. Lush forest covers the entire place which can be enjoyed on a horse ride.
8. Chadwick Falls
When in Shimla, Chadwick is the place to be. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the hill station. The water falls from an amazing altitude of 1586 meters. Lush dense forest, pine trees and tall deodar encircles the falls making the view totally spellbinding.
9. Chail
Chail is home to the highest cricket pitch in the world. Exquisitely outlined by colossal deodar and pine trees, promising a serene and relaxed atmosphere, Chail is a place you should not miss out on. It houses the famous Chail Palace celebrated widely for its architectural brilliance. Located at a higher altitude than Shimla, a visit Chail will let you enjoy the mesmerising view of twinkling city lights right below. While entering the Chail Palace, beware of monkeys. 10. The Mall
Last but least, The Mall is a must visit in Shimla. It makes for the main shopping centre of Shimla just as other hill stations in North India, is the main shopping centre of Shimla. The place is beautifully laid with a huge number of restaurants, banks, clubs, bars, and tourist offices. The famous Gaiety Theatre is also located in the Mall. Adored by both tourists and locals alike, the place is a perfect choice for a casual stroll and eating out. The two meeting points at the Mall; Ridge and Scandal points are also famous here.
