Most of Vaduz’s restaurants are clustered around the town’s main square, not far from the bus station. Liechtenstein has no well defined culture of its own, so it can best be described as a mix of Austrian and Swiss elements. When it comes to food in Vaduz, the most prominent characteristic of the traditional cuisine are hearty and filling dishes borrowed from the neighboring nations. The Old Castle Inn, next to Vaduz Castle, looks like a typical German inn, and it also serves typical German and Austrian like schnitzel (five types of them!), but also Belgian pommes-frites, pasta and quite good sandwiches.
