The oldest worshiping place in Kuala Lumpur, the Jamek Mosque has been built on the meeting of the two rivers, Sungei Klang and Sungei Gombak. The early settlers established their homes exactly at this confluence and built the mosque in 1909. What is interesting that the architect who designed the building was an Englishman, whose passion was the Indian Muslim architecture style.

The whole place is really beautiful, though try to avoid visiting it while the devotees come to pray. (midday, mostly Friday)
