Bordeaux History

During 1154, Bordeaux was finally a peaceful city as the Duchess Eleanor of Aquitaine married Henri Plantagenet, the time when Bordeaux was under the English rule for the next three centuries and began to thrive. In 1462, the city was officially recognized as part of France by Louis XIV after the one hundred years war and the city was under the French rule. But Bordeaux experienced chaos again in the following years as the place was destroyed by the empire with terror and revolt.
