Alicante Sights and Landmarks Guide, Spain

The city of Alicante has plenty of tourist hot spots which attract many national as well as international tourists towards it throughout the year. The city of Alicante is famous due to the number of historical monuments which are present in the city and also due to the historical culture which the city has preserved even when it is moving quickly towards modernization. Casa de la Asegurada is one of the very famous museums in the city of Alicante which is regularly visited by many local as well as foreign tourists throughout the year. The monument in which this museum is housed was built during the early years of 17th century and hence its historical architecture is another reason which attracts so many tourists towards it. The museum contains art collections from various artists like Picasso, Miro, and Gris. These were one of the most famous artists of the 20th century in the city of Alicante.

The City Center is the place to visit while in the city of Alicante due to the perfect atmosphere which it possesses. The broad avenues, the multiple trees, various city squares, and different shops. While you are in this center of the city try and visit the Mercado Central which is a huge market located right in the center of the city. It is always interesting to buy some products from the city that you tour and hence this could be a nice opportunity for you to buy something which will act as memory when you return home.

Finally you can always enjoy local cuisines in various restaurants and different food outlets while you are in this city of Alicante. You will get the chance to taste various Spanish dishes in these food outlets. The most famous and regular ones which are available in almost all the restaurants are mussels served with red wine, Calamari, and Paella.
