Resita, Nightlife – Restaurants and Pubs

In the unique landscape offered by the Semenic Mountains, not far from Timisoara or Arad, Resita invites us to taste some of its delicious traditional local dishes. It tempts us with sweet honey tastes and flavored dry wines produced locally from the nearby vine cultures.

There are plenty of locations for having lunch or dinner in Resita, some of them very modern and minimalist, others classical or even theme ones like the Baron Medieval Restaurant. With its doors wide open and ready to welcome tourists from all over the world, Baron medieval restaurant introduces us into the fifteen century medieval atmosphere. The interior is typical for that period and is decorated with chevaliers’ armors, shields and sword, coat of arms and beautiful pictures showing nobles and old trade cities. The timber furniture, with heavy gothic chairs also confers an original feature to the entire ensemble. A discreet music with calm tones completes the atmosphere making it even more colorful and mysterious. The menu offers besides the twenty one century dishes many medieval treats and drinks. The restaurant recommends their traditional chicken stew, different plateaus, and delicious desserts and of course a nice dry wine for a complete feast.

Other restaurants are rather classical with an international menu like the Palace Restaurant and Semenic Restaurant, both located downtown perfect for a business lunch or dinner. For a night out with friends a good start would be dinner at Meat Boss or Anotimpurile Restaurant which offer a wide variety of traditional or international cuisine and a modern, friendly atmosphere.

Resita, Nightlife – Bars

What do you understand by a relaxing place but inviting in the same time? You probably imagine comfortable lounges, warm colors, and friendly staff, sweet and inviting menu. This place is called Art Café and can be found here in downtown Resita. The atmosphere is welcoming, perfect for a private meeting or a romantic date; the lounge makes you feel like home and invites you to try another sweet treat. The red and cream minimal furniture, comfortable seats are enough to remake the atmosphere from an authentic coffee shop. If you decide to bring your kids too, you should know that there is a special place for them where they can play while you finish the meeting.

The menu is made up of numerous home made cakes which can be served there or previously ordered if you are organizing a party or other similar event.

Other nice cafés in Resita are the Derby Café, Racing Café, La Pazz Café, Romantic Café and Reschitza Rock Café, all with their own charm and pleasant atmosphere ready to please any type of client.

Resita, Nightlife – Clubs

A reference in the Resita nightlife is the Le Baron Club and other similar places, the locals’ favorite spots for spending a night out. Le Baron Club is a place where luxury is present everywhere, from the beautiful white and black furniture, comfortable sofas, everything is custom designed by a famous Romanian fashion designer. The first thing that impresses when you enter is the immense space, an advantage of the high building, especially for non smoking persons who are usually disturbed by smoke. As for the location Le Baron is excellently placed away from the busy city, thus offering besides the intimacy of the setting also enough parking place for everyone. The club is opened everyday until 3 a.m. and it offers a wide variety of spirits from cocktails to classic shots.

As for the weekends we can only say one word: explosive. Good music, lots of drinks and colored lights invite you to have fun and never let you get bored. Fridays are also special due to the presence of the professional dancers who make a great show every time they get on the stage.
