The city of Poznań is situated in the central western region of Poland. The River Warta is situated in the proximity of Poznań. The city of Poznań also happens to be the administrative capital for Greater Poland Voivodeship. The city of Poznań got international recognition when it was selected as the center where the conference of United Nations related to Climate Change would be held somewhere in December 2008. Experts suggest that the city of Poznań might touch 585000 inhabitants as its population by the year 2020. On the other hand during the same year the population for the metropolitan area of Poznań would be around 90000 inhabitants.

The city of Poznań stretches over an area of around 260 kilometer square which was revealed in the statistics that were taken down in the year 2002. Highest point in the city of Poznań is Mt. Morasko (which has an altitude of around 160 meters) while the lowest point in the city of Poznań is Warta River Valley (which has an altitude of around 60 meters).

The city of Poznań was divided into five different districts namely Grunwald, Jezyce, Nowe Miasto, Stare Miasto, and Wilda. These districts have been divided into many different neighborhoods and all these divisions makes it easier for the local government to administer the city without facing any heavy problems.

  As of now the city of Poznań has become an important hub which conducts business at high levels with the country of Germany. The International Fair is also held every year in the city of Poznań which reflects the importance of this city when it comes to business and economy related gatherings. Mostly the investment in the city of Poznań is done by German businessmen and Dutch businessmen.
