Stavanger Nightlife – Restaurants
One good way to spend Stavanger Nightlife is having a good dinner. There are plenty of restaurants in the city to choose from. This experience can relax and satisfy anyone’s palate.
Gaffel and Karaffel. The English name of this restaurant is Fork and Carafe. It is housed in a late 19th century building and now regarded as one of the trendiest bars in the city. The restaurant offers Norwegian as well as other International cuisine. Dinner is served from 6pm to 11pm on Mondays until Saturdays. Reservations are recommended before going in for dinner.
Sjohuset Skagen. This restaurant is housed in an 18th century warehouse that can be found along the waterfront. It serves international cuisine and it specializes in seafood dishes. It has cozy indoor dining room and scenic outdoor area. It is open from 11:30am to 12am on Mondays up to Saturdays while it opens from 1pm until 11pm during Sundays.
N.B. Sorenson’s Damskipexpedisjon and Annenetage. This is another restaurant located along the waterfront. Like many others in the area, it exudes a historical atmosphere of the 19th century and it serves a wide selection of international cuisine. The restaurant is divided into to two parts: the ground level has a warm and lively ambience and the meals are cheaper; and the dining area upstairs is more classy and stylish but prices are higher.
Stavanger Nightlife – Bars and Club
A more active Stavanger Nightlife can be experienced in a bar or a club. These nightspots offer tons of fun and entertainment wherein people can drink, dance and socialize with locals and other tourists.
Irishman. This is one of the best pubs in the city frequented by many tourists especially Irish, Scottish and English. It has a wide selection of drinks that include Scottish malt and American bourbon. It plays music from Ireland, England and Scotland and it hosts live performances at least twice a week. The bar is open until 2am.
Checkpoint Charlie Hard Rock Café. This club is a favorite nightspot of the young crowd. It can accommodate up to 200 guests. The club plays rock ‘n’ roll, hard rock, and alternative music. It is open every day from 8pm until 2am.
Sting. This place is one of the most popular nightspots in Stavanger. The ground floor is a café and it has a room where gay people hangout. The club is located at the basement and it plays a wide range of music such as jazz, hip hop, soul, and house. It also has a lounge area with Indian ambience.
Stavanger Nightlife has a lot in store for different types of people. Those who want to bond with their family can have a nice dinner at a restaurant. On the other hand, those who want to meet new people can head to a bar or a club. You may enjoy the same nightlife options with other cities in Europe like Bergen Nightlife and Oslo Nightlife.
