Monaco Nightlife, Monaco
With one of the highest population density rates in the world, famous inhabitants, luxurious villas and fancy yachts, Monaco is also one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe. For those who had the fortune and inspiration to choose Monaco as their holiday destination, Monaco has much more to offer than Monte Carlo casinos or the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Located on the French Riviera, Monaco has all the attributes of a perfect vacation spot: beautiful scenery, sunny beaches, delicious Mediterranean food and first class entertainment.
Monaco Nightlife - Culture and Entertainment
To get a first taste of Monaco's nightlife and cultural scene, you can start your evening with a show or play at Princess Grace Theatre, Theatre du Fort Antoine or Theatre des Varietes. Ballet and classical music can be enjoyed at Salle Garnier. If you prefer listening to live music in a less formal atmosphere, you can try one of Monaco's numerous music bars: The Living Room, Sparco Caffe or Tiffany's. Since the Princess Grace of Monaco was a former American actress, you can pay her your respects and go to watch a movie at Cinema d'Ete, Cinema Sporting or Monaco Open Air Cinema.
Monaco Nightlife - Restaurants
Eating out is a tough one in Monaco: will it be French, Italian or Thai, fusion? Will you go to a classy restaurant, an open air terrace or just buy wrap and enjoy it in the park? Considering that Monaco is only 12 km far from the Italian border, here is the place where two universally appreciated cuisines meet: French and Italian (make three if we take into account the Mediterranean influences). Gourmet restaurants include Beef Bar, Maya Bay and Amici Miei, international dishes can be tasted at Tokyo, Royal Thai or Piedra del Sol, while the fusion cooking style is represented by Pacific or Mosaik. For a frugal meal you can have some pizza or pastry at La Pizza du Stade, Le Bureau, Le Neptune Plage or Sale & Dolce.
Monaco Nightlife - Bars and Casinos
Nice might have the most agitated nightlife on the coast, Cannes the famous film festival, but Monte Carlo Casino needs no introduction as well: built in 1863 by architect Charles Garnier, the Casino has been hosting gamblers all over the world for almost a century and a half. This historical landmark continues to attract both gambling novices and connoisseurs with slot machines, roulettes, Black jack, poker and various other European and American gambling games. Monaco's bars and pubs are a less risky, but equally entertaining alternative to end your night in Monaco. Jimmy'z, On the Rock's, Cassa de Gelato, Stars'n'Bars, Copa Loca or The Legend are all good places to gloriously end your Monaco nightlife adventure.
