Cuernavaca Sights and Landmarks Guide, Mexico

Cascada de Anton is a beautiful water fall in the city of Cuernavaca. The height of the fall is around 50 meters. It was the year 1933 when a staircase was built to help the visitors closely experience the excitement of the falling water. The waterfall gained actual publicity in the late nineteenth century and since then it has been heavily appreciated by national as well as international tourists. The lush green surroundings and great flowers around the waterfall is a must watch whenever you happen to visit the city of Cuernavaca.

Zoofari is a uniquely built zoo in the city of Cuernavaca where over 150 different species of animals share same space in the open zoo. Here you will get the chance to experience how exactly animals live in real life conditions. Animals in this uniquely built zoo have been brought in from different parts of Mexico and from different part of this planet. The weather of the surroundings and great team of doctors create the perfect atmosphere which is necessary to create the best living conditions for these animals.

Cuernavaca’s Cathedral was built somewhere in 1552 although the construction work for this cathedral started in 1529. It took over 20 years for the construction work to be finished and this adds to its charm. The fort like look of this huge monument and the touch of Oriental culture adds to its beauty. Artists from Philippines and China were brought in to create beautiful paintings on the walls of this huge Cuernavaca. The difference in design and the culture of these two countries can also be observed in this cathedral.

Some other famous tourist hot spots in the city of Cuernavaca are Muros Cultural Center, Agua Hedionda Bathing Resort, Xochicalco, and Tepoztlan etc.
