The importance of this mosque increases as the tomb of the foster mother of Prophet Mohammed (whose name was Umm Haram) is said to be located in this mosque.
Larnaca Salt Lake is situated in the proximity of the city airport. If you happen to visit this city of Larnaca during the winter season (which is between the months of November and March) then you will get the chance to view the huge number of pink flamingos which regularly hit this lake.
