Patrai is a nice Greek town, Greece

Patra is a big harbour city. You havent got much in the city besides one beach, adjacent to the industrial harbour. When we got in the taxi, telling him to drive us to the beach, we didnt know it, he drove us to the so called 'Rion beach'. Was a stone chip beach, approx. 2 metres broad, with bars and clubs like at Mallorca and one single camping ground, that wasnt really cheap.
Patra i wouldn't recommend as a city to visit, just pass through it and leave. There're a lot more places that are worth a visit.
The city itself is just like every other normal Greek town, nothing special about it.

Kavala Travel guide

The closest international airport to Kavala is Alexander the Great Airport, 20 kilometers away. The airport is a major European hub, and it serves numerous destinations, both in Europe and in other continents. Domestic flights operate between Kavala and Athens, Drama and Xanthi. Kavala is first and foremost a port city, so the easiest and most pleasant way to reach it is by boat. There are regular ferry services running between Kavala and some important Greek islands such as Thira and Lemnos, as well as boats to other important ports like Thessaloniki. From Kavala, you can plan trips to almost all Greek islands, although you might have to... Read more »

Heracleion was a great disappointment - Apr 1, 2009, by Wazling

Visiting Gythion - Jun 23, 2010, by Anonymous
