by Santa Cruz is close to the Amazon Rainforests and the zoo has all kinds of exotic animals from the region, and even some endangered species.
Exotic birds, colorful tropical frogs, llamas, even anacondas, all can be found and seen here. Still, my favorite were the capybaras, those extremely cute creatures which are, by the way, the largest rodents.
There is also a nice little fun park for the children, a souvenir shop and many sellers who would sell you a special kind of food that you can safely give to the animals.
They really do a very good job there, this one thing for what the zoo is worth visiting, the other is, of course to see some very rare species maybe only once in your life.
