Bright Angel Trail is certainly the most famous of all trails at Grand Canyon. You’ll need a lot of time to do the whole trail. If you do the whole trail all the way from the South Rim to the North Rim, you’ll have about 25 Miles which is really a 2 day hike. You’ll be able to stay at Phantom Ranch or Indian Gardens, if you’re coming from the North Rim. Either way, if you want to experience the Grand Canyon the way it should be experienced, you will need to do the hike and really get down to the bottom or near the bottom, because that’s the only way to see how deep it really is.
If you have time, you should do a little bit of extra hiking to a view point called “Plateau Point”, where you’ll get an awesome view over the Canyon. You’ll feel real free there, a great place!
