The climate of Zimbabwe is warm, and they really only have two seasons to speak of. Their summer months are dry and hot, and the winter months, while short, provide a little bit of rain, and a slight cool down in the temperatures. Harare has a tourist season that lasts nearly year-round due to the wonderful weather, and the lack of large storms and other natural disasters to the area. If you are looking for a nice retreat during the cold months of winter, Harare is a beautiful place to spend a few months.
While the majority of Africa is struggling economically, and there is word of national disasters on a regular basis, Harare seems to have safe guarded itself against those things. However, Harare boasts an almost European feel, with classy hotels in large plazas, and side walk shops lining every road. Harare’s tourism is thriving and is heavily influenced by all of the European visitors to the area.
Planning a trip to Harare, Zimbabwe can be a long process, having to notify authorities of your intentions along the way, but in the long run, this could be one of the best vacations you ever take.
