Scottsdale, AZ US - Overview

Scottsdale is a city of Maricopa County, United States. It is adjacent to Phoenix. Its population is approximately 300,000 people. Scottsdale is regarded as the best tourism and shopping destination that represents the Western American Style.

 Scottsdale is also famous for late night partying and hotel scenes. Scottsdale was originally inhabited by Hohokam.

The history of Scottsdale has link back to 300 BC. Originally, it was a small village known as Vaṣai Svaṣonĭ. Some of the homes of original settlement remained in their original form till the 20th century. Real estate boomed in 20th century. The real estate market of Scottsdale is the most expensive in the USA. From 1950 to 1970 many big companies of USA established their offices in this city.

Because of the rising status of the city, many settlers from other cities of USA found their settlement here. The north part of the Scottsdale is most developed and active part of the city. It is also considered as the most expensive part of Scottsdale. There are a number of resorts, hotels, restaurants and villas that provide the best accommodation and dining options to tourists from all over the world.

The desert of Scottsdale has inspired many architects like Frank Lloyd Wright, who built a winter retreat.

 There are a hundreds of things to do alongside the Salt River. Rocky Mountains, city parks, zoo, museums and natural landscapes have great attraction for the visitors. Kayaking, boating, fishing, golf, rafting, hiking, horseback riding, air balloon rides and mountain climbing are some of the most popular sporting activities in Scottsdale.  

Scottsdale also hosts some of the best events like Phoenix Open golf tournament and horse-drawn Parada Del Sol parade.

.The city of Scottsdale is divided in to the four major areas i.e. South Scottsdale, Old Town Scottsdale, The Shea Corridor and The Shea Corridor.

Scottsdale’s nightlife is very popular throughout the United States. There are a lot of nightclubs, bars, comedy clubs, theatres, restaurants and grand hotels that offer an array of facilities.

Scottsdale is also a popular shopping destination. Some of the most famous shopping areas in the city include Scottsdale Fashion Square, Scottsdale Quarter and One Scottsdale etc.
