Arizona Travel Guide

If you have never visited Arizona, this place should definitely be on your list!

Don’t go in the same places every year! You will limit yourself and the possibility of broadening your view on your own country. Every place is unique in its own and has something to teach you and by visiting as many places as possible you’ll only enhance the chances of a better understanding of the area, country, and the world you live in.

The most frequent question for persons who have never visited Arizona before are ‘what does it have in store for me?’ or ‘why should I visit it?’

Well, there are many reasons and they cover every tourist’s need: there is great scenery provided by the presence of the Grand Canyon, Sonora Desert, Mojave and Chemehuevi Mountains, the famous Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert National Parks, Papago Park, South Mountain Park, Lake Havasu, Colorado River, Oak Creek Canyon and the list could go on.

Its diverse and varied landscape attracts outdoor lovers by the hundreds of thousands if not millions every year and because the climate is favorable for traveling in autumn many choose it as their favorite season.

You can go backpacking, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, choose to practice water sports, visit museums and national parks, see some of the most beautiful cities in the US: Phoenix, Lake Havasu City, Yuma, Tucson, Sedona and you’ll learn more about the history and geography of the country while having a lot of fun.

Depending on the time you have you can make one of the cities your base camp for exploring the area. But if you don’t know where to start, start with Phoenix, the capital city of the state and one of the most important cities in US. You can choose to have luxurious vacations since Phoenix provides classy facilities and local amenities. You can choose to stay in a five star hotel and eat at the best restaurants but backpackers will find cheap accommodation too. There are great shopping possibilities and lots of attractions to suite everybody’s taste. Art lovers have plenty of art galleries to visit, history buffs have plenty of museums in store, outdoor lovers have parks and children have a lovely zoo.

If your aim is outdoor activities than maybe you should choose Lake Havasu City a perfect destination for all those who want to spend time in the middle of nature. You can have a taste of England as there are many English style buildings even a bridge that was brought from England to attract tourists and the trick worked. But the bridge is not the only attraction, the possibility of playing tennis, golf, practicing water sports on the shorelines, hiking, mountain biking an all the sports related to the mountains have made Lake Havasu City a popular place.

To see Oak Creek Canyon and some Native American ruins Sedona is the place to ‘set camp’ while Tucson is the perfect destination for those who want sunshine most of the time especially in winter. Tucson is great in fall but even greater in winter being well known as a winter resort located in the vicinity of 5 mountain ranges.

The name Arizona may come from the combination of words arid zone meaning very dry and without rain but you can find here plenty of diverse forms of relief.

Traveling should be part of anybody’s life, your body and soul will definitely have to benefit from it. Watching TV or sitting in front of your computer reading or watching pictures about different places will make you a couch potato and chances are you won’t remember much after a week, but you will remember being there your whole life!

Make Arizona part of your sweet memories!
